About the Jury Member
Esther-Rebecca Neumann was born in Linz, Austria, and completed her violin studies in concert performance at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. From an early age, she demonstrated exceptional talent, winning first prizes at national competitions during her youth.
She has performed with various renowned symphony orchestras, including the Tonkünstler Orchestra, Concertverein, Ambassade Orchestra, and the Orchestra Neue Oper Wien. Her passion for music has taken her on numerous concert tours throughout Europe and Asia.
Her studies in historical performance practice led her to some of Europe’s most significant centers for Baroque music. She earned diplomas under distinguished teachers such as Michi Gaigg at the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz, Petra Müllejans in Frankfurt am Main, and Lucy Van Dael at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Her expertise in historical performance has enabled her to appear and record with internationally acclaimed ensembles and orchestras such as L’Orfeo Baroque Orchestra, Academia Montis Regalis, Ensemble Suavissima Musica Christo, and the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra. Her concert, radio, and television performances have taken her across Europe and the Americas.
Esther-Rebecca Neumann is also the artistic director of the ensemble Originalklang!Orchester. In this role, she is committed to discovering rare and often forgotten musical works. She places great importance on thoughtful program curation and strives to offer audiences captivating and unique musical experiences.
